Keynote Speaker – The Gulf Intracoastal Canal Association (GICA) is pleased to announce Rear Admiral Wayne R. Arguin Jr., Assistant Commandant for Prevention Policy (CG-5P) U.S. Coast Guard will be the keynote speaker during the 118th Annual GICA Seminar.

Rear Admiral Arguin will provide his remarks during lunch on Thursday, July 27th. As Assistant Commandant for Prevention Policy (CG-5P) he oversees all commercial vessel inspections, marine casualty investigations, merchant mariner credentialing, waterways management, Vessel Traffic Service operations, Bridge Administration and suspension and revocation proceedings throughout the entire U.S. Coast Guard.

Rear Admiral Arguin’s keynote address will be a great opportunity for GICA membership to learn more about current U.S. Coast Guard operations and the agency’s future plans for our nation’s waterways, commercial vessel operations and mariners and provide senior U.S. Coast Guard leadership the opportunity to hear first-hand, directly from GICA membership, our issues and concerns for maritime operations throughout the GIWW.
